Characteristics

The extra virgin coconut oil is cold-pressed from the pulp of ripe coconuts which are cultivated in ecological farming. The entire production process takes only a few hours so the oil keeps its premium quality. No colorrants or preservatives are added.

The coconut oil protects the immune system and is highly valued for its content of lauric, caprylic, capric and myristic acids.

In the human body, lauric acid is transformed into monoglyceride monolaurin, which has the ability to decompose cell-walls of bacteria and viruses and, at the same time, regulates intestinal microflora. Due to its antifungal, antiviral and antibacterial properties, it is effective against infections and yeasts.

The coconut oil is in our body decomposed into glucose and thus supplies energy gradually. It does not deposit in the body and that is why it is recommended to people who need to regulate their blood sugar level. It also reduces the load of adrenal glands without burdening the thyroid gland. Taking the coconut oil is also recommended during dieting, a few tea-spoonfuls can evoke the feeling of full stomach for a few hours and thus reduces impulse overeating causing so-called yo-yo effect.

Furthermore, application of coconut oil also has other benefits. It is an excellent body oil for dry and sensitive skin. It has sumptuous mild aroma and is easily absorbable. It tends dry skin on elbows, heels, fingernail beds and is effective also against eczemas and striae. Nursing mothers use the coconut oil to treat cracked nipples. It is also very pleasant as a massage emulsion. Thanks to its high content of vitamins A, C and E, coconut oil acts as an antioxidant and slows down ageing of skin and contributes to healing wounds and scars. In addition, coconut oil can be applied on the hair in order to renew its structure and to make combing easier.

Coconut oil is an excellent ingredient for healthy cold and warm dishes. It has a sumptuous taste and makes a perfect substitute for all fats used for baking, cooking and frying. It does not contain any cholesterol and does not overburn. People suffering from allergy against milk can use the coconut oil instead of butter. The coconut oil is easily digestible.

The virgin coconut oil is very resistant against oxidation. At room temperature, the oil remains in the solid but soft form, it becomes liquid only after warming up. Our virgin coconut oil comes from either Sri Lanka or Philippines.

Recommended dosage

Recommended dosage: 1 tea-spoonful of oil in the morning on an empty stomach.

In kitchen suitable for frying, baking and cooking. Can be used as a dairy free replacement for butter.
